HG 1/144 Grimgerde Review

Review on HG 1/144 Grimgerde

Greetings

Alright, Hi Everyone!!!

I am back for updating my blog with the upcoming review on a recent release HG kit which is Grimgerde from Iron Blooded Orphans. First of all, every gundam anime will have a character wearing mask and it's usually is the protagonist of the series. Am sure that everyone will have at least a favorite of  protagonist form one of the Gundam Series.

For me Mcgills Farred is one of my favorite character from the Iron Blooded Series and the way the character development makes me feel that he's neither good nor bad. But he has his own justification and so on. Not only the character, i also like the suits that he rides on which i have collect both 1/144 & 1/100.

So little about the suit, it's was built upon using the Valkyrie Frame at the end of the calamity war. Building on using the frame make the suit light and able to combat fast which can move as fast as Ninja. Hehe, cool right?

Alright, guess enough of the babbling, let's continue on the review.

Review

This is a simple kit to build and cost only 1200 yen. Well not only that, the kit is quite detail which's a surprised me while i was building it.Among the Iron Blooded Kits that i have build so far, this kit can be consider quite details in terms of  panel line. Not sure about you, and well to justify what i wrote, below are the photo shoots

It's maybe hard to see in photo due to the color of the kit. Would be good that you can see the actual product.

Next up will be some action pose:

Cool??? Haha

The bad point that i notice about the kit is, it's not very stable, and probably is because of the upper body weight which you may find trouble it you want to make the kit stand still. Just use an action base instead. Also, there's no extra pair of hand which is nice to have it. This would make the kit to have some dynamic and feel post.

Weapons

Well for weapons, it's simple, 2 swords, rifle and 2 shields which equipped on the arms. -_- !!!

Review score and comments

I would give a score of 8.5/10.

Compliment
  • Easy to build
  • Quite Detail for a HG Kit
  • Paint job is easy due to separate parts
  • Good for customization
  • Value for money
Critics
  • Stable issue
  • No extra pair of hands
Hope you like this review,

Feel free to give comment & always looking for room to improve.

Thank you all ^^

SD Mimi tryout project & SD Zero Gundam Review

Mimi Tryout Project & SD Zero Gundam Review

Greetings

Hi Everyone !!!,

I am back for blogging. Apologies for the long delayed and hope that you will forgive me. To compensate, i have a post ready for your perusal which is a work that i have done recently.

A mini SD Gundam tryout project which feature the SD Zero Gundam & i would say that overall, it's a very fun and easy build. Most important thing is; Enjoy & feel Satisfied.

Alright, so let's continue.

Mimi Project & Review

Below is the picture of the kit which is SD Zero Gundam and i have done some tryout colors customization:

Not too far from the original color scheme. How you find it??? :)

Apart form that, the kit is easy to build and painting friendly if you know what i mean. Just be tactful when dealing with the small parts.

Next up is a mountain scene that i have tried out:

When comes to mountain, all i think of is this color -_-

How was it? One mistake that i learnt from is, i did not apply primer on the mountain which causing some color defection i would say (haha, anyhowly form words -_-!!!) Well, should have painted it with black primer so a word of advice for everyone, if you are working on a mountain scene like mine, remember to prime it before actual paint it. Hehe

Lastly, overall presentation:

This work title is Knight in the Mountain which is about this knight traveling around the mountain to look for worthy opponent.

Review

Compliment

  • Easy to build
  • Comes additional accessories
  • Articulation are alright (Don't expect it to move like HG)
Critics
  • Some parts may separate out for easy painting
  • Cape is a bit lose probably due to the weight

Hope you like this short review

Feel free to give comment & always looking for room to improvement.

Thank you all ^^

Review on HG Revive RX-78-2 Gundam

Greetings

The next review is up and apologies for the late uploading. Due to work, study commitment and some up and down in my life, it have hold me back a lot. However, it's a new year and time for some changes and i will take it step by step without hesitation. Let's carry on with the review.

About the Suit

I believe everyone should know the suit as it's one of the iconic that started everything in the Gundam Universal.  Abit of this Gundam, It was piloted by Amuro Ray and the suit was built secretly in Side 7 during the One Year War against Zeon. It's a versatile suit and could tide over battles with simple equipment like Beam Sabers, Beam Rifle. In real life, the suit was design by Kunio Okawara and to know more about the suit, you may want to consider watching the Anime, Mobile Suit Gundam.

Review on Kit

The kit is easy to built and budget friendly. During the build, there are not much of trouble in building however, do aware of the fixing the round parts at the arm area.

Below are some WIP (Work in progress) and Final Product Pictures:

One Leg Stand, OK! Haha

How you find it??? Super cool right? :D

Next up is the accessories that comes with it:

It's comes with another pair of hands which you can do some nice action poses. What you see in the pictures is what you get and with the price of 1000 yen, it's worth. Don't think anymore, just go to the nearby stores to get one for yourself :)

Review

I would give a score of 10/10

Pros
- Simple to build
- Great Articulation
- Budget Friendly

Feel free to give comments and always looking for room of improvement.

There are some plans for this blog and i will announce to everyone soon.

Thank you and wishing everyone a good day ahead! :)

Review on Star Build Strike Gundam

Greetings

The next review is up and it's gonna be a kit that everyone will know if you have watched Gundam Build Fighter, It's  Star Build Strike Gundam, well, kind of obvious since i already posted the box art.

About the Suit

The suit was built by Sei lori and controlled by Reiji (most of the time). The unit is an upgrade version of the original Build Strike Gundam as it was destroyed during one of the battle with Tatssuya Yuuki by his suit, Zaku Amazing. The difference between this unit and the previous was it have change  the backpack that called Universal Booster that improve the the suit status. The Universal Boosters gives the suit new systemes which is  RG System, discharge system and absorb system and this have made the gundam become kind of OP (overpower).

For more of the suit info, you may want to watch the anime and embrace the ambiance of each of the battle scene .

Review on Kit

Right after the introduction, let's go to the kit itself.

Front
Rear=
looks kind of cool isn't it?  :P

Let's proceed to the stability and articulation of the kit:

When fixing the backpack, be careful with the cannon as it's easily drop off. Consider to glue it for permanent pose.

The movement of joint is stable and allows you to do good poses however, don't expect much for a HG kit.

Weapon and Back Pack

For the backpack, the design look like some insect though, haha.

Accessories & Extras

For the accessories, it include a base stand which's not bad for the price of the kit that you are paying. Stickers wise, have a lot of work to do though.

Last but not least, it include the effect parts for the overall suit.

Well,  for the other effect parts, you got to buy the Build Custom Series, Universal Booster Plavsky Power Gate which enable you to do up Plavbsky effect like how it become in the anime.

Pose

How you fare this kit? :)

Review

Score: 7/10

Compliment

  • Easy to build
  • Stability and Articulation of the kit is good
  • Includes a stand

Critics

  • Mild challenge for pasting the stickers on the kit
  • Got to buy the build custom set which logically should be a set
  • Good to include another pair of hand for variation of pose(s)

If you are a fan of GBF/ GBFT or Strike Design colloectors, etc, don't miss out this kit :)

That's about it for now.
